Dark Matter is in fact Coffee Beans?

So they didn’t go to waste, we decided to use some expired coffee beans in our sensory tray. Of course when asked what toys he wanted to have in the tray, E requested a space theme!

This is the first time for us trying coffee beans in our sensory play and it’s been a huge hit! Including stars, astronauts, rockets, marbles and rocks, this sensory tray was a feast for the senses as E found hidden treasures in his imaginative play.

This provocation created in collaboration with my little astronaut, facilitated story telling, science exploration, imaginative learning and language development as he shared his creative ideas and understandings.

Manipulating the small resources fosters fine motor skill development and hand eye coordination.
